The Last Laugh by HERSOID places clowns at the center of collapse—performers frozen mid-act as landscapes burn, cities dissolve, and denial becomes spectacle. Rendered in expressive graphite and muted digital colour, the figures are both tragic and absurd, smiling through ecological and existential ruin. Blending vintage poster aesthetics with postwar melancholy, the series captures climate grief as tragicomedy—an indictment of the clowns in charge, and the ones we’ve all become.
